Jaw pain may be the result of TMD ( temporomandibular joint dysfunction) which affects about 20 to 30% of the adult population. It most commonly affects women between the ages of 20-40 years old.
Common symptoms may include
. Difficulty chewing or experiencing pain while chewing
. Pain in one or both of your jaw joints (temporomandibular joints)
. Restricted jaw movement
. Chronic headaches
. Locking of the jaw, making it difficult to open or close your mouth
. A clicking noise while yawning or chewing,
. Aching pain in and around your ear
